Intimate modern wedding with Vera Wang dress in California
If you're feeling overwhelmed by wedding planning and tempted to pare it right back to your nearest and dearest, today's real wedding could be just the nudge you need to decide that is a fantastic idea! Jillian and JP originally planned to tie the knot at a wine country resort but moved their wedding to a private estate due to Covid. "The couple definitely made the right call, because their whole day turned out to be the most beautiful, safe and successful Plan B!" explains California wedding photographer, Carlie Statsky, who captured their stunning celebration.
The clean lines of the venue's architecture, together with the surrounding organic gardens and koi pond all served as inspiration for overall natural yet modern design. The ceremony was held in front of a simple circular sculpture within the gardens near the pool house, where the couple live-streamed their ceremony to family members who couldn’t travel.
After the ceremony, guests walked down through the gardens, past the bocce court, to the expansive pond and patio area for cocktail hour, then moved out in front of the house for dinner and dancing. A whole group of musicians from Elan Artists created a warm and enjoyable atmosphere for the reception, as guests dined surrounded by the glow of twinkling lights in the olive trees.
