Brandy and Albert’s Blush and Neutral Outdoor Wedding

Oct 03, 2017 | Weddings

A blush and floral dream! Brandy and Albert's wedding was held at a gorgeous ranch just outside of Dallas called Summerfield at Tate Farms. The rolling hills and lush green pastures lent themselves to a wonderfully romantic event and we may or may not have swooned over the ivory blooms all over the place by Abelia Floral Studio. Texas and destination photographer Allen Tsai is one of our absolute favorites for the way he so meticulously captures sweet moments like these. Don't forget to check out all the details below from bride Brandy!

From Allen Tsai: "Brandy is the dream fine art bride that I was excited from our first meeting. Not only did she have a clear vision for her wedding, but she’s also a very talented calligrapher herself. She did all the calligraphy and lettering for everything at her wedding and the invitation suites and it turned out to be so beautiful!"

From the bride Brandy: "When you meet the us, you’ll find that our personality types are pretty contrasting. I am Type A through and through, and my Albert is the epitome of B, although you’d never know it from the way he “asked” me out on our first date. Retract that, he never actually asked, he TOLD me we were going to dinner that weekend. But naturally, when it came to planning our wedding, he me the reins and told me to run with it. He had a few specific asks, but aside from that, I had creative freedom.

We both knew we wanted a classic yet natural feel to our wedding. Albert is a no fuss or frills kind of person and I am all about the details. So I wanted to be able to infuse both mindsets into our big day, so that every part was truly a reflection of us, from the decor, to the food and even the drinks. It wasn’t until we started looking at venues that the whole picture really came together. Some of the spaces we had visited had felt inhibiting in terms of freedom and even creativity, so the moment we visited Summerfield, we knew it was the one.

Our overall vision was simple yet elegant. For the colors, we chose soft, neutral tones so that it wouldn’t overtake the scenery. The flowers were primarily blushes and whites with a lot of greenery tied in; we wanted them to be beautiful, yet a little wild and free at the same time. I do calligraphy and lettering, and so I loved getting to add those personal touches to everything from the place cards, the seating chart and all of the signage. Our food was based upon my husband’s all time favorite meals… street tacos and burgers. Whereas I’m the dessert fanatic, so just a cake was not enough, we needed to have a dessert buffet as well.

Wedding planning doesn’t come without it’s fair share of headaches, but after 10 months of planning, it was breathtaking to finally see everything come together. I attribute that largely to our team of vendors who were nothing short of amazing. And the way they all worked seamlessly together made it absolutely effortless for Albert and I, and truly allowed us to focus on what was important that day.

But getting to end the night with our family and closest friends on the dance floor was one of the memories we will cherish the most. If I could pass along any advice to other brides, it’d be to steal a few moments for yourself to take it all in. Everyone always says that the day goes by so quickly, and I wish I could say that’s an exaggeration, but before you know it, you’re doing your grand exit and that’s it."
