Sammi and Gary’s Classic Black Tie Garden Wedding
Sweet Sammi and Gary's wedding is just the inspiration you'll need if you have a penchant for stately garden weddings! Lovely Audra Wrisley so beautifully captured this Washington DC wedding and that light so well... even the banisters of the garden stairwell seem to dance in the light. The pale blue bridesmaid dresses were the perfect compliment to Sammi's elegant look and we adored the way they almost matched the slate tones in the stone around the gardens. Pay special attention to the simple, yet outstanding ceremony location and Sammi's amazing gold dress...
From Audra Wrisley: "Sammi & Gary’s classic black tie wedding in Washington DC took place on one of the prettiest days of early fall. This sweet couple, who met at George Washington University, picked the quintessential Dumbarton House in Georgetown as their venue, and opted for an intimate ceremony in the garden. With her bridesmaids in periwinkle blue and gold touches throughout the day, the wedding’s color scheme was classic yet perfectly unexpected. Many of their friends and relatives traveled from across the world to attend the important event, which made their day so much more special.
During cocktail hour, Sammi changed into a spectacular gold-sequined gown to dance the night away. While keeping cool with fun popsicles by Pleasant Pops, the guests eventually moved from the outdoor space into the reception room. After dinner, dancing and heartfelt speeches, the icing on the cake for the night was literally made of gold sprinkles!"
