Northern Skies Workshop - A Masterclass in the English Countryside

Feb 04, 2019 | Industry

Not only am I thrilled to show you something close to my heart today with Taylor & Porter but I wanted to write a little about what drives us as creatives towards learning and workshops in general. I mean, there are so many out there right now, how on earth do we choose which ones to attend and learn from? Sure, we could choose a photographer we really like the style of and respect. We could be attracted to the vendors at the workshop and the beautiful editorials created for your portfolios. In my opinion, these learnings are only short lived.

Working backwards with our businesses we can see where our weaknesses lie. Who is your bride? Where do they reside? What do they want to see on social? How can I make more profit? How can I improve on the practical side of shooting film (low lighting, flash, composition for high end clients etc)? We could choose from someone in the industry who is a great business strategist whose strengths lie in continuous bookings and publications whilst making profits. I honestly can say I only work with the best workshops in this industry and I'm so excited to be speaking at Taylor & Porter's Northern Skies Workshop in England this April.

That’s beautiful. Does they need MUA and hair style too?
