Mountain Elopement from Luminous Workshop
We were fortunate to attend Justine Milton Photography's Calgary workshop, Luminous Workshop, earlier this year. We had a wonderful time with the very talented team including Justine (and her fiance Allen and her lovely parents, too!), Teal of The Well Styled Life, and the sweet ladies of bridal shop Pearl & Dot. Canada is an incredible place and we had the opportunity to experience the city life in Calgary and see the stunning views of the Rocky Mountains! Justine shared her expertise to the attendees in a casual way, which felt so comfortable and everyone learned so much. Today we're reminiscing on the insanely gorgeous mountain elopement from the last day... all the heart eyes!
From Justine Milton Photography: "The breathtaking raw and natural beauty of the Canadian Rocky Mountains inspired the mountain elopement session for the Luminous Workshop held at Emerald Lake Lodge in British Columbia. The delicate chiffon fabric of the wedding gown designed by Tatyana Merenyuk echoed the ever changing and moving clouds while the wooden vineyard cross-back chairs mimicked the natural elements found throughout the organic mountain environment surrounding the attendees which set the stage for a truly stunning backdrop.
Intimate details like hand calligraphed letters with a wax seal awaited each guest as they took their seats at a large wooden harvest table adorned in simple and minimal details like marble candles, intricate glassware and detailed yet simplistic dinnerware. Channeling the natural surroundings was key in designing this mountain elopement that was beautifully captured down by the river where natural flowing water from the mountain glaciers gave way to the perfect shade of turquoise. Capturing raw beauty and emotion in one of the most organic, natural and awe-inspiring settings in the world allowed for the attendees to explore their creativity with no limits."
