I've seen a LOT of blush and muted tone weddings in my years of writing weddings here at Wedding Sparrow (and if I'm honest they still hold a special place in my heart!), but today's bolder color palette showcases how brighter tones can showcase a wedding style like no other. With classic details and twinkling fairy lights, you can find a balance of timeless style (hello classic cocktail hour with Jazz!) and authentic moments (heartfelt toasts). With planning by Anne-Claire Allen and photography by Kayla Barker, Abby and Nate celebrated a day that was equally as beautiful as their love.
From the planner and designer, Anne-Claire Allen: "After nearly a decade of dating, Abby and Nate (both natives of Little Rock, Arkansas) researched venues across the country for their wedding day celebration. After discovering the exclusive magic of P. Allen Smith’s Moss Mountain Farm and Garden Home, the search was over and the soon-to-be newlyweds were sold on welcoming their family and friends from across the country to their stunning Southern hometown. Once the venue was selected and the bride chose her dress, the remainder of the design process was somewhat organic. Abby’s priorities and dreams for a Southern celebration merged with her Chicago-born Mother’s hope for a classic seated dinner was perfectly paired to create a remarkable night that guests were simply blown away by. Following the traditional ceremony overlooking the rolling hills of the Arkansas River Valley, guests were invited to enjoy a jazz-filled cocktail hour under the home’s iconic oak tree in the front yard. Once the dinner bell began to ring, the bride’s brother blessed the meal and invited guests to the breathtaking tent for a true Southern feast! As the bride’s parents completed a heartfelt toast to their daughter and new son-in-law, the band began to lure guests back to the front yard where lights twinkled under the Sister Oak tree and the band held center-stage on the home’s front porch. Incredible music, laughter and joy filled the evening until a surprise fireworks show acted as a finale to shock the bride, groom and all of their guests! It was an incredibly magical night and the photos are the perfect representation of such a beautiful day!"
