From Marianne of RiverOaks Charleston: “If marrying the love of your life privately and nearly alone, without sacrificing the sense of a wedding, is appealing, then take inspiration from this couple. Choosing to combine an elopement, an intimate celebration dinner, and a honeymoon in rural Tuscany while keeping the experience personal and distinctive was the bride and groom’s desire. With dedicated concierge wedding artists and an intimate five-star property situated above an expansive landscape with unparalleled views in every direction, their dreams were realized perfectly.
The bride and groom’s arrival and events coincided with the height of grape harvest season. The landscape, full of vines laden with rich purple delights bound for the winemakers hands, were dotted with olive trees flushing their new growth and fruit. Marrying the surroundings with their simple decor, both grape and olive foliages were incorporated into the design of the day. The rich colors of the season were subtly echoed in the getaway car, the bride’s lip color, accent florals and pops of color in the glassware.
A forlorn centuries old chapel on the grounds was perfect for the private marriage vows between the pair. Nearby, set on a hill in the Chianti region, the Hotel Le Fontanelle joyfully welcomed the couple and their guests and offered a stunning backdrop for the intimate evening. Arriving from the chapel, the guests experienced a private 5 course dinner created by the hotel staff and sat by “le fontanelle,” which translates as “the fountain.”
This inspiring wedding celebration is the stuff dreams are made of.”
