Honeymoon Guide in Eleuthera, Bahamas
Wedding Sparrow's honeymoon inspiration kicks off once again and this time in the beautiful Bahamas. Simply Sarah Photography and her hubby jetted off to this enticingly picturesque place for a solid six weeks and we couldn't be more envious! The crystal clear waters in a magnificent shade of turquoise blue, the soft sandy beaches, luxury boutique hotel, rocky cliffside terrain... oh, and fancy fruity island drinks of course. Feast your eyes on this beauty and just go right ahead and start planning your honeymoon because we are obsessed....
From Simply Sarah Photography: We rented a home in Rainbow Bay for 6 weeks last summer. Our home came with a golf cart which allowed us to ride around to different beaches and to the local neighborhood eatery.
The Rainbow Inn is the cutest little restaurant down the road with live music adn the freshest seafood on the island. We spent our days playing in the sand and then would swing by the inn on our way home for the night to listen to music and pick up some dinner!
Other places we loved for dinner were: 1648 and the Dunmore.
Other fun day trips from Rainbow Bay were as follows:
1) A ferry over to Harbour Island. Harbour Island is a tiny little island accessed by mostly golf carts and boats only. They are home to a world famous pink sands beach. Local favorites here on Bri Land as the locals lovingly call it were: 1) lunch at The Dunmore located on the pink sand beach 2) The Cocoa House Starbucks ( after only 2 weeks away I was missing my coffee so this place was a Godsend!) 3) The little local shops
2) Ferry to Spanish Wells. We became friends with a family on Spanish Wells that runs a fishing and diving charter. We went 2 different times with Bruno and his crew. The first time was shortly after we arrive he took us out reef fishing and were able to catch all the fish we needed for our 6 weeks on the island. We also went scuba diving which is one of our favorite things to do in the carribean!
3) Roadtrip via Queen's Highway to the end of the island to see Light House Beach and to fly fish the flats.
By far our favorite thing about Eleuthera is our friends that we found at The Cove. The Cove is a small resort that was our little " vacation" while we were on vacation. The staff was so kind and accommodating and the views truly couldn't be beat! We love it so much we are going back next month!
LUXURY BOUTIQUE HOTEL - THE COVE
We also spent a month in the Bahamas over the summer and found out about this little luxury boutique resort on the island. We were able to spend a few nights relaxing at the resort and had the best time. Attached are the images we captured that show off the activities at the resort as well as on the island.
