Floral Arbor Ceremony Decor
Today's focus is on this perfectly imperfect and very impressive floral installation by florist-extraordinaire Amy Osaba. For couples looking for the wow-factor, in a lovely and naturally organic way, something along these lines would be perfect. We were impressed by the rich berry tones and the gorgeous styling by Kelly Oshiro, perfect for the romantic fall bride...
Words from florist Amy Osaba: “Foraging unexpected branches and foliages are one of my favorite things. Upon building the arbor I happened to be walking past this beautiful limb lying on the ground. It would become a perfect anchor to make it look like the arbor had been growing there forever…like the tree and flowers were just growing straight from the ground. We worked with that branch and others to create the feeling that the tree and the arbor were one piece. We like to create moments in large installations so that whoever is seeing it in person gets to notice the little moments of interest throughout, rather than the piece being one big floral explosion. You’ll notice that we didn’t cover the entire structure, which was intentional. This was so fun for us, and we’ve been trying to re-create it ever since!”
From stylist Kelly Oshiro: "To support Amy's vision I pulled an elegant wrought iron arbor from Elan Rentals and paired it with slotted garden chairs from Classic Party Rentals. For the bride, I picked up a Rue De Seine dress with the most insane beading. For hair and makeup, I went with a slighty Veronica Lake look, with berry red lips and soft curls by Chateau Belle. I finished off the look with some insane jewelry from Sophia Kaman."
