From the sweet wooden gift boxes with delicate ribbons, to the personalized oil favors… not a single detail was skipped in this stunning Spanish Country Villa wedding photographed by Sarah Hannam. Sarah knew this wedding was going to be remarkable as the sweet bride is a phenomenal photographer herself! We are in love with the amazing floral crown and simple, foraged arrangements by Bo Boutique, and most of all we love the adorable looks between bride and groom. How clearly they love each other… Each detail is so sweet, we know future brides are going to be pinning away on this one! From Sarah Hannam: "When I was booked to photograph a May wedding in rural Spain, all I could think of was how beautiful the Spanish light would look on film. Ashlee was marrying Miguel at Mas del Cigarrer, a country villa on the borders of Aragon and Catalunia in North Eastern Spain in amongst the vineyards and almond groves. I knew the bride’s background as a fine art photographer would bring style to the occasion and some serious attention paid to the wedding details, but I did not imagine that Ashlee would be making most of them herself. In what turned into a real labour of love, Ashlee worked so hard for months and no task was too small. She learned how to do calligraphy and then with the help of her future sister in law who very handily is a graphic designer, turned it all into a fantastic stationery suite. Her groom’s mother, a accomplished seamstress, designed and made the beautifully flowing blush chiffon and tulle bridal gown, which complemented Ashlee’s skin tone so well. The day before the wedding early in the morning before the sun got too hot, Ashlee took floral designer and stylist Amy from Bo Boutique out to a family member’s field in a tractor to forage olive branches and wild thyme, with which they returned in abundance! From hand-sewing the teal velvet bow ties for the groomsmen (similar bowtie here, less expensive version here) and making the bridesmaid’s gifts to the enormous task of collecting a mass of glass jars in all sizes to paint their bases gold and light up the dancing, there was nothing that was too much for Ashlee to do and all her huge efforts really paid off to produce a very stylish occasion with such a personal flair."
