Denver Wedding Venue Review - The ART Hotel
The practicalities and ease of having a city wedding often come before the ability to make it look like a natural, romantic looking fine art style event. Until now! We're seeing more and more city wedding venues like the The ART Hotel in Denver enabling fans of the fine art wedding style with the use of as much natural light and outdoor space as possible. We sent photographer Ashley Ludaescher to see what a wedding at The ART Hotel could look like PLUS see what activities your out of town guests could do. Hello yoga on the rooftop, making your own wine, and 180 views whilst dining...
"The ART Hotel is right in the heart of downtown Denver, a city I completely fell in love with during my visit. The proximity to the mountains, abundance of art, thriving food scene and incredibly kind residents made for an unforgettable stay. The ART Hotel is located next door to the Denver Art Museum and with the contemporary art lining the hotel's walls, it feels like a natural extension of the museum. Arriving at The ART Hotel ground floor entrance, you are welcomed by a light installation commissioned by the ART with 22,000 LED lights on the ceiling of the driveway. The ART's lobby and restaurant FIRE have an impressive collection of art including two bronze sculptures which greet you as you step out of the elevator.
Modern couples looking to celebrate in the city have several unique spaces to tie the knot at the ART. A rooftop garden of the Denver Art Museum residence, adjacent to the hotel, is the perfect ceremony space with stunning both city and Rocky Mountain views. The FIRE terrace at the ART offers up it’s own stunning views and is another unique option for a ceremony or reception with chef Michael Wright's seasonal menus.
Bikes are the preferred mode of transportation around Denver, and we took full advantage of the perfect summer weather with a self guided tour of the public art installations around downtown. There are more than 100 sculptures, murals and statues throughout the city, many of which are a short bike ride or walk from the Art.
We were treated to a morning Corepower yoga session on the FIRE terrace, which was an amazing way to start the day. Another highlight from our stay was creating our very own wine blend at Denver’s only craft winery, Bigsby’s Folly. They offer custom wine blending sessions for groups, which would be the perfect bachelor/ette activity.
We were treated to an incredible final meal in Denver at El Five in Lohi on our last evening in town, with breathtaking 180 views of downtown from every table and delicious tapas and paella.
As soon as we left the Mile High City we were already planning another trip back. Thank you to The ART Hotel for an amazing stay!"
