Contemporary Scandi wedding inspiration

Jun 20, 2018 | Inspiration

I'm really falling for clean, modern looks at the moment and this inspirational editorial from #fineartcuration member Jake Anderson and Sarah Rhodes-Boyce balances the modernity with femininity perfectly. Drops of Scandi and hints of a French blue means this is perfect for those brides looking for a modern take on the fine art wedding style...

From the designer, Sarah Rhodes-Boyce: "Scandinavian design was the heavy influencer with this styled shoot. I weighed heavily on clean lines, simplicity and a minimalistic color palette. In a world of overabundance, I wanted the shoot to be a breath of fresh air yet still saturated with a feeling and sense of coolness. Effortless and classic are among the most important aspects in my design approach. Along with the Scandinavian feels for the tablescape and ceremony arbor, I wanted to incorporate sensuality in the photos. I envisioned our bride to be fully confident, sexy and a leader with her groom totally entranced by her beauty and confidence.

The Murray Mansion was an exceptional location; with intricate molding on the ceiling and walls as well as the light gray and white interior paint, it lent a beautiful background to the shoot."
