In a saturated industry where it seems everyone is hosting a workshop, how do we decide what the best investment for our marketing budget is? I'm lucky enough to have traveled all over the globe speaking at events and workshops and have met hundreds of workshop attendees and vendors who are incredible at what they do. Every workshop is inspiring in it's own way and this October we're off to Boheme Workshops in Athens for the 4th consecutive year. It's rare that a successful workshop runs for years but Vasia has been running twice yearly workshops for the last few years and selling out each time. It's seen the sights of God's Mountain in Canada, Santorini (bucket list!), mainland Greece and now this year we're all heading to Athens! One of the most historical cities in the world, Athens is the perfect neutral, crumbling backdrop for the beauty that Vasia, Celsia Floral, White Event Studio, and more will be creating. Vasia speaks Greek and seems to have an unrivalled ability to source the most epic locations for her editorials! LEARNING HOW TO SHOOT MORE FILM
This includes shooting it for the first time, shooting in different lighting conditions, shooting it as a business model profitably, and shooting film efficiently. For the first time ever this year, Vasia is putting more time aside during the editorials to talk through and practically show how she shoots and why. Plus longer and more in depth tutorials during the teaching days mean this workshop is a font of knowledge for anyone wanting to incorporate more film into their business model.
An often underestimated tool when attending workshops is the networking opportunities! And not just the vendors but the attendees too! Want to shoot more destination weddings in another country? You might just be at the workshop with someone who lives in that country who would love to shoot where you're based!
I will also be there talking to attendees about getting published, social media, branding and where the industry is moving. It's not just a 1-2 hour presentation however, I'll be there all day every day ready to answer any questions you might have about your business. Want me to check out your Instagram? ABOUT? Our Greek workshop this year will be in Athens, the historic capital! This region offers a wide variety of backdrops from a coastal cliffside, to an ancient church, beautiful ancient ruins, a vibrant downtown centre and even the famous olive groves. This exclusive and intimate workshop will be intensive 5-day experiences that will not only inspire you, but also provide gorgeous content for portfolio building and learning that will help you grow your business, get published, and follow your dreams. We will focus on creating emotive imagery that tells a story, through focussed classroom exercises, professionally styled shoots and lots of one-on-one time.
Investment includes all meals, a minimum of 5 professionally styled shoots, all classes, and one-on-one portfolio review. Also lots of treats and fun surprises! You are responsible for your own transportation to and from the workshop meeting point but transportation during the workshop will be provided. You are responsible for your own accommodation but we will provide options for attendees in various price points and encourage communicating with fellow attendees in the Facebook group for sharing.
