Hello! Blogging bride Nicole here again to talk about how we selected our photographers and share a glimpse into our engagement session!

I have always been attracted to photographers who shoot in natural light and are able to bring out the beauty of the scenery in addition to making the couple look great. When I discovered The Lees Photography on Instagram about a year and a half ago I immediately fell in love with their work! Tatyana and Steven are a husband and wife team based in California that take absolutely stunning lifestyle photographs.

I immediately sent their profile to (my now fiancé) Taylor and some of my closest girlfriends, gushing over the fact that their style is everything I wanted for my engagement and wedding photos! Luckily this didn’t freak Taylor out, as we’d been talking about our future for some time at that point. ;)

In the time between discovering The Lees Photography and getting engaged, Tatyana and I kept in touch and we were able to get to know each other a bit via instagram - we’re both passionate about Philz Coffee, our pups and a good glass of wine; so when Taylor proposed in February my first vendor inquiry went straight to The Lees!

We are getting married in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California next June, so we wanted to do the engagement session near Carmel to give both shoots a cohesive look and feel. Tatyana and Steven took the time to scout out the perfect locations ahead of our session, which helped us make the most of every second of natural light during our evening shoot! We split our time between Point Lobos and 17 Mile Drive, with both locations offering gorgeous backdrops along the California coast.

The best part of our engagement session (besides the beautiful photos of course) was that Tatyana and Steven made us feel comfortable in front of the camera right away! We spent almost three hours giggling together and enjoyed every minute. This gave me confidence that we made the right decision for our big day - having a good rapport with our photographers is something that’s so important to us!

We are so in love with every single picture Tatyana and Steven took of us, and we hope you love them too!

You are absolutely right. Shooting photos in natural light and scenic beauty will make couples look more attractive. Tatyana and Steven are looking gorgeous in natural light.
They have selected a good location for their engagement.
